At this year's Detroit auto show, Kia unveiled the updated 2017 Forte compact sedan and Forte5
hatchback, but it was unable to display the face-lifted two-door model.
Now we understand the reason.
The Forte Koup won't make it to the 2017 model year, according to CarsDirect.
Kia stated that the Forte Koup would be discontinued in a statement to Motor Trend.
As recently added improvements to the Forte sedan and Forte5 for the 2017 model year
demonstrate, Kia Motors America (KMA) is dedicated to retaining competitiveness and leadership
in the small vehicle sector, a company spokesperson said in an email.
